Thanks for the post. You make a very good point and that is that anyone over a certain age can get the training they might one use to save a life. Even for people who don't require a certification for their employment, everyday people can benefit from these programs.

Thanks for making more people aware of the possibilities with Assistive Devices (a term yet to take off I think). Many people don't know how technology is progressing and if they did they might seek out better solutions for themselves.

This article is great, thanks! I've been looking for advice or help on how to help my hearing impaired mother. I ran into this great article about medical alerts for the deaf and hearing impaired. http://www.criticalsignaltechnologies.com/blog/medical-alert-for-deaf/

Thank you for this blog. This was a big help. Since most of the people are traveling and some of them are planning on a trip and don't know what to put in a first aid kit. This gives them idea and also serves as a guide on preparing a first aid kit. From here I know that the first aid kit should depend on where you are going, what transportation vehicle you use and the number of person you are traveling with and also the age. Keep this up. It is very helpful. I think, if possible this should be posted on some places for people to be reminded.

I know a place where you can get some handy first aid signs and posters for FREE - http://www.alscofirstaid.com.au/first-aid-signs.html

With the recent outbreak of tornadoes in our area, it was brought to my attention that we do not own an emergency kit. I will definitely be using this article when I put together a kit for our home.
